PLN strengthens energy infrastructure security and supply readiness in Indonesia

PLN Energi Gas and the North Kalimantan Regional Police (Polda Kaltara) have signed a Technical Work Guideline (PKT) to secure National Vital Objects, specifically focusing on the LNG Tarakan storage and regasification facilities. The agreement aims to establish a coordinated and responsive security system to prevent disruptions and ensure the continuity of energy infrastructure and electricity supply.

Separately, PT PLN Energi Primer Indonesia (PLN EPI) has confirmed the readiness of primary energy and biomass supplies at the Bolok Steam Power Plant (PLTU Bolok) in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara. The facility, which has a capacity of 2x16.5 MW, is critical for supporting the electrical system on Timor Island and reducing dependence on fuel oil. The oversight visit focused on supply chain reliability and the implementation of biomass co-firing programs to support greener energy operations.
