PLN UID Jawa Timur implements OMP pilot project in Bangkalan

PT PLN (Persero) Unit Induk Distribusi (UID) Jawa Timur is implementing a Pilot Project for Online Monitoring Performance (OMP) in Bangkalan to enhance distribution efficiency and service quality. The digital system is designed to map electrical energy loss more accurately by monitoring data across the network and customers.

Physical implementation of OMP on the Martadinata feeder and the installation of the Data Concentrator Unit (DCU) on the Maduratex feeder have both reached 100% completion. The data collected through this system will serve as a basis for evaluating network conditions and determining targeted field repairs, such as load balancing and low-voltage network improvements.

Eric Rossi Priyo Nugroho, General Manager of PLN UID Jawa Timur, emphasized that digital technology must go beyond hardware installation. He stated that the goal is to generate accurate, actionable data to support more effective distribution network management, ultimately improving reliability and service for customers.
