Ploiești City Hall initiates 47.6 million lei station mobility project

Ploiești City Hall has handed over construction sites to a consortium consisting of Maristar Com, Rad Panorama Construct, and Raicommerce Construction. The project aims to improve traffic mobility and public transport by extending the road and transport links between the South Station and the West Station via Libertății Street.

The investment, funded through the South-Muntenia Regional Program 2021–2027, has a contract value of approximately 47.6 million lei (excluding VAT). The execution period for the works is set at 17 months.

Key components of the project include the development of the 1 Decembrie 1918 Square (South Station area) and the West Station area. Planned works involve environmental protection, the construction of a passenger waiting station, Park & Ride parking lots with 40 spaces, bicycle lanes, an underground pedestrian passage, and the reconfiguration of sidewalks.
