Germany theme parks launch autumn festivals amid stormy weather

Germany is seeing a mix of seasonal festivities and unsettled weather. Theme parks across the country are launching autumn and Halloween events. Plopsaland Deutschland in Haßloch is introducing the ‘Plopsa Herbstfest’ from October 1 to November 1, featuring 20,000 pumpkins and specialized attractions. In Bavaria, Legoland Deutschland, Bayern-Park, and Bavaria Filmstadt are hosting various family-oriented Halloween programs.

Simultaneously, the German Weather Service (DWD) has issued warnings for North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). The region is facing stormy weather, including thunderstorms and heavy rain, with some areas expected to receive over 30 liters of rain per square meter. Temperatures are expected to fluctuate, with nighttime lows potentially dropping near freezing.
