Plotpackers founder Louise Truman secures investment on Dragons' Den

Louise Truman, the founder of the London-based travel business Plotpackers, has secured a £120,000 investment from Dragons Steven Bartlett and Deborah Meaden on the BBC program Dragons' Den.

Truman established Plotpackers to provide safer group travel experiences following a sexual assault she experienced while solo backpacking at age 21. The tech-enabled business focuses on sustainability and creating economic opportunities for women in its global destinations.

Starting with £3,000 in savings, Truman reported a turnover of £1.36 million in her first year. In addition to the financial investment, Steven Bartlett offered mentorship through Amy Golding, the CEO of his private office.
