Plovdiv announces extensive September cultural program

Plovdiv is set to host a dense schedule of cultural, musical, and theatrical events throughout September. The city's calendar features a wide array of performers, including Lili Ivanova, Tarja Turunen, The Gathering, and Konstantinos Argiros.

Key highlights include the 'Scena na krastoput' festival hosted by the Drama Theatre from September 10 to 21, and the International Street Art Festival 'TheatAir 2026' running from September 4 to 7. The Opera Open 2026 series will feature Tchaikovsky’s 'Swan Lake' on September 4 and concludes with Carl Orff’s 'Carmina Burana' on September 9.

Other notable activities include the National Autumn Exhibitions in Old Plovdiv, themed 'Mirrors of the City', and various theatrical premieres at the Ancient Theatre and Orpheus Summer Cinema.
