Plovdiv completes playground and school sports facility upgrades

Plovdiv has completed several local infrastructure projects aimed at improving recreational and athletic spaces for residents.

In the Zapaden district, a popular playground located behind the Plovdiv Mall has been fully renovated. The project, funded by the company Build Invest in cooperation with the district administration, replaced decade-old equipment and damaged flooring with new shock-absorbent surfaces, swings, a merry-go-round, and seesaws. District Mayor Toni Stoycheva emphasized the importance of safe play environments for child development.

In the Severen district, Plovdiv Mayor Kostadin Dimitrov inaugurated new sports facilities at the Nikola Vaptsarov Secondary School. The project covered nearly 3,000 square meters and cost over 316,255 euros. The new area includes courts for volleyball and basketball, tennis tables, a football pitch, and an outdoor fitness zone. School Director Stoyan Stratiev noted that the project was made possible through municipal funding following discussions with the Mayor.
