Plovdiv continues nightly mosquito spraying through July 17

The Plovdiv municipal sanitation department will keep spraying for adult mosquitoes, larvae and other pests each night from now until July 17, 2026. Treatments are scheduled for the city's mourning parks, the "Leisure and Culture" park, the canal along the Greben River and open‑air children’s playgrounds, with work carried out between 21:00 and 04:30.

Approved insecticides authorized by the Ministry of Health will be used at recommended doses. Operations will be postponed if heavy rain or strong wind occurs, to be resumed on the next suitable day. Beekeepers with hives in the affected zones have been asked to limit bee flights during the spraying hours.
