Plovdiv hosts major cultural festivals and art exhibitions

Plovdiv is hosting a diverse series of cultural events throughout October, highlighted by the 10th anniversary of the GuitArt International Guitar Festival and major exhibitions at the City Art Gallery.

The GuitArt Festival features a lineup including Vietnamese guitarist Tu Le and a special performance by Vlatko Stefanovski. The festival also includes the musical-stage production ‘She Remembers’ (Tya pomni), featuring actress Maria Kavardzhikova and the group Del Padre, which combines theater, dance, and live painting.

At the City Art Gallery, artist Vasil Stoev is presenting a large-scale solo exhibition titled ‘Between Light and Shadow’ from October 6 to 25. The exhibition utilizes the gallery's two levels to showcase his recent paintings and intimate drawings. Other scheduled cultural highlights include a concert by Kamelia Todorova celebrating 50 years on stage and a retrospective in memory of Nedko Itinov.
