Plovdiv hosts 30th anniversary of Scene at the Crossroads festival

The 30th anniversary edition of the “Scene at the Crossroads” international theatre festival is set to take place in Plovdiv from September 10 to 21. Tickets for the event are now available for purchase at the Plovdiv Drama Theatre box office and through online platforms.

The festival program features a mix of Bulgarian and international productions, including workshops, children's events, and the traditional “Secret Performance.” The Plovdiv Drama Theatre will host the opening on September 10 with the premiere of the comedy “English Window” by Ray Cooney, directed by Ventsislav Asenov.

Other local highlights include the premiere of “Nirvana” by Konstantin Iliev on September 11 and a guest performance by the Sofia Theatre on September 12. The international program includes notable contributions from the State Theatre of Istanbul, the Mira Foundation from Rome, and the National Theatre of Budapest.
