Plovdiv mosquito control campaign scheduled through August

The Municipal Enterprise "Disinfection Station" has announced a large-scale mosquito control campaign in Plovdiv, scheduled to run through the end of August. Specialized teams will conduct nighttime treatments for adult mosquitoes between 21:00 and 04:30.

The treatment schedule is organized by district: - August 10–12: Zapaden district, Komatevo neighborhood, the Maritsa River basin, and cemetery parks. - August 13–14: Tsentralen district and cemetery parks. - August 17–18: Severen district. - August 19–20: Yuzhen district. - August 21 and 24: Trakiya district. - August 25–26: Istochen district.

Treatments will use preparations approved by the Ministry of Health at recommended concentrations. In the event of adverse weather conditions, such as rain or strong winds, activities will be rescheduled for the next available working day. Beekeepers in the affected areas are advised to limit bee flights during the scheduled disinfection hours.
