A criminal investigation in Plovdiv has revealed a connection between two separate violent incidents involving local youths. Prosecutors announced that an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old, currently charged with the unprovoked assault of two Nepalese citizens, were also present during the brutal murder of 37-year-old Georgi Kuzev at Mladezhki Hill.

The link between the suspects and the murder group was established through video recordings found on a mobile phone. While the 18-year-old is being investigated for his potential role in the murder, the current charges for the Nepalese citizens involve causing light bodily harm due to hooliganism.

In a separate development, five minors—three boys and two girls aged 14 to 17—remain in custody for the intentional murder of Georgi Kuzev. The crime was described by Judge Petko Minev as exceptionally cruel, involving prolonged physical torture and humiliation. Two of the female suspects have appealed their pretrial detention orders to the Plovdiv Appellate Court.
