Plovdiv prepares for large-scale Christmas celebrations

The Plovdiv municipality has begun preparations for this year's Christmas festivities, planning a large-scale holiday market in the city center. The festive village will be located at Central Square and Gladstone Street, featuring 29 wooden Christmas houses and 20 outdoor dining areas.

New attractions for this season include an 84-square-meter sledding slide, two large carousels with 10-meter diameters, and two shooting galleries. The city also expects to host its popular large-scale ice skating rink, which covered 5,350 square meters last year.

To enhance the holiday atmosphere, the administration has announced a 150,000 euro public procurement for festive decorations. For the first time, all six district municipalities will receive targeted funds to increase holiday lighting and decorations within their respective neighborhoods.
