Plovdiv court detains three more minors in Mladezhki Hill murder case

A Plovdiv court has ordered the permanent detention of three additional minors—two 17-year-olds and one 15-year-old—charged with complicity in the brutal murder of 37-year-old Georgi Kuzev at Mladezhki Hill.

Prosecution officials stated that the suspects participated in the assault by striking the victim with their hands and feet. Forensic evidence, including DNA analysis, reportedly found the victim's blood on the suspects' clothing and footwear. This development brings the total number of minors facing criminal charges in this case to eight, consisting of six boys and two girls.

The charges include premeditated murder committed with extreme cruelty, hooliganism, and motives related to the victim's sexual orientation. Judge Veselina Semkova characterized the suspects as socially dangerous, noting potential links to extremist groups targeting individuals based on race or sexual orientation. The court ruled that detention was necessary to prevent further violence and interference with the investigation.
