Plovdiv teenagers clash following social media feud
A personal feud on social media led to a physical confrontation between two groups of teenagers in central Plovdiv. The incident occurred near a shopping mall after the youths unexpectedly encountered one another.
According to Chief Inspector Dimitar Kostov of the Second District Police Department, the conflict originated from online threats exchanged between two 13-year-old boys. While security staff at the mall intervened to prevent a fight inside the building, the groups eventually clashed outside.
The participants, consisting of boys and one girl aged between 13 and 15, were taken to the police station. Authorities confirmed there were no serious injuries and no evidence of organized extremism or hooliganism. Parents and inspectors from the Child Pedagogical Room were called to assist with the investigation.
