Plovdiv tree branch crushes parked car in Sadiyski

A large tree branch fell onto a parked car on Bachkovo Street in the Sadiyski neighborhood of Plovdiv during the early morning hours. While no injuries were reported, the vehicle sustained significant material damage.

Municipal Councilor Borislav Mateev noted that an order for sanitary pruning and the removal of dried, potentially dangerous branches had already been issued for Bachkovo Street on July 17. The order followed previous reports from local residents regarding the condition of trees in the area.

Mateev criticized the delay in executing administrative orders, stating that while orders are being issued, they are not being implemented in a timely manner, leading to preventable incidents. The Plovdiv Municipality has previously stated that it maintains a software register for trees and follows weekly schedules for inspections and maintenance to improve coordination.
