Plovdiv's UMBAL St. George opens new modern dialysis center

The Dialysis Treatment Department of UMBAL ‘St. George’ in Plovdiv has relocated to a new, modern facility. The department has moved from its previous location on Vasil Aprilov Blvd to a new site at the corner of Peshpersko Shose Blvd and Tsarevets St.

The new facility is three times larger than the previous one and is equipped with high-tech medical apparatus to meet modern standards. The center features 30 modern dialysis stations, including 24 for regular chronic dialysis, two for emergency cases, and two VIP stations. Upgrades include seven next-generation dialysis machines capable of performing both hemodialysis and high-purity hemodiafiltration, as well as new water softening and reverse osmosis systems.

To enhance patient safety and comfort, the center has installed a continuous video surveillance system, modern alarm systems, specialized beds, individual tables, and televisions. The facility serves patients with both acute and chronic renal failure from the entire region. Additionally, free transportation has been provided for dialysis patients to facilitate their regular visits.
