Plužine, Montenegro advances infrastructure and tourism projects
President Jakov Milatović praised the natural assets of Plužine and urged the state and local authorities to turn them into lasting economic growth. He called for concrete policies and investments in energy, tourism and agriculture, saying, “Plužine are a historic region whose mountains, canyons and the great Piva lake are not only priceless resources but the very identity of our homeland.”
During the municipal day celebration, local officials reported that a series of development projects are either completed or nearing completion. Highlights include the reconstruction of the Plužine‑Nikšić‑Danilovgrad road, the Zaborje‑Jasenovo Polje segment, the second phase of the city traffic network built by Elektroprivreda Crne Gore, a new sports hall, and the planned reconstruction of the Foča‑Šćepan Polje road. The municipality also announced upcoming works such as a fire station, a new nature‑park building, additional parking spaces and a pedestrian trail, all guided by the adopted 2026‑2031 development strategy.
