Plume Network joins DTCC working group to advance tokenized securities

Plume Network, a modular blockchain infrastructure platform, has become a member of the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation’s (DTCC) Digital Assets Solutions Industry Working Group. As an SEC‑registered transfer agent, Plume will contribute its Kimber Transfer Agency subsidiary to help shape the operational framework for tokenized securities within U.S. capital markets. The working group, which already includes more than one hundred institutions such as BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, Charles Schwab and Nasdaq, aims to improve interoperability between blockchain‑based tokenization services and existing settlement infrastructure.

DTCC, which services roughly $114 trillion in assets and clears about $3,700 trillion in transactions annually, completed its first tokenized trades of Russell 1000 stocks and ETFs in July 2026 following an SEC no‑action letter. A broader commercial launch of the DTCC Tokenization Service is planned for October 2026, marking the first large‑scale institutional settlement of tokenized securities. Plume’s role will allow it to maintain official ownership records for tokenized assets directly on its blockchain, rather than merely mirroring traditional records.
