Plungė couple defines patriotism through family values

Kristina and Ernestas Kleinai, a couple from Plungė, Lithuania, advocate for the idea that the family serves as the primary school for patriotism. They define patriotism through three pillars: knowing one's origins, valuing the native language, and feeling responsibility for one's legacy.

The couple, who are celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary, met through pantomime classes organized by Aleksas Mažonas at the Plungė Cultural Center. They emphasize that patriotism is demonstrated through daily actions, such as supporting neighbors in need and preserving family traditions and history.

Despite early challenges, including periods of working abroad, the couple focuses on raising their two sons, Samuel (14) and Eden (6), while maintaining their commitment to their community and cultural identity.
