Plungė opens Airtech drone training center

The Airtech methodical drone training center has officially opened in Plungė, becoming the sixth such facility in Lithuania. The center is a collaborative project involving the Lithuanian Non-Formal Education Agency (LINEŠA), the Plungė District Municipality, and the Plungė School of Technology and Business.

The facility is designed to provide technological education for both children and adults, focusing on the construction, programming, and operation of unmanned aerial vehicles. Training programs aim to develop skills applicable to various sectors, including agriculture, technology, and security. This year, the center plans to train at least 100 students and 50 adults.

Local officials noted that the center serves to foster technological advancement and national security preparedness. Beyond general interest, the training is also relevant for professionals such as police officers and security service employees.
