Plures Alia activates recovery plan after regional waste collection strike

Plures Alia has launched an extraordinary recovery plan to restore waste collection and cleaning services following a regional strike by the Fp-Cgil union on October 14. The company aims to return to full service regularity by the end of the week by prioritizing critical areas.

In Florence, priority was given to the historic center due to high waste volume and public density. The strike saw over 20% participation from environmental sector personnel in the Ato Toscana Centro area, affecting provinces including Florence, Prato, and Pistoia. Significant disruptions were noted in street sweeping and door-to-door collection, particularly in municipalities such as Empoli, Montelupo Fiorentino, Cerreto Guidi, and several others in the region.
