Plus Ultra flight makes emergency landing in Brazil

A Plus Ultra flight traveling from Buenos Aires to Madrid was forced to make an emergency landing in Natal, Brazil, due to a technical failure. The aircraft, flight PU502, diverted from its original route after the crew detected a malfunction.

Nearly 300 passengers were stranded in Natal for over a day. Travelers reported significant distress, citing a lack of information and insufficient accommodation. Some passengers claimed they had to wait for hours in vehicles or at the airport due to a shortage of hotel rooms.

Plus Ultra stated it provided food and assistance and arranged a replacement flight. The new service departed Natal on Tuesday afternoon, arriving in Madrid on Wednesday morning.
