Pluyer Pollos and PriceSmart announce regional expansions

Pluyer Pollos, a Dominican company, has opened its seventh branch in San Pedro de Macorís. This expansion marks the brand's entry into the eastern region of the country and is expected to generate more than 150 jobs. The new location on Francisco Alberto Caamaño Deñó Avenue includes an entertainment area and a menu featuring fried and roasted chicken, burgers, and soft ice cream. The company, founded in Boca Chica in 2013, plans to add new brands to its portfolio by 2027.

In Chile, the American membership warehouse club PriceSmart is preparing to debut in the first half of 2027 at Mall Plaza Los Dominicos. This marks the company's first entry into a shopping mall and its first new market opening in fifteen years. General Manager Juan Pablo Valdés noted that the membership-only model will be a new concept for the Chilean retail industry. PriceSmart currently operates 59 clubs across 13 markets with over 4 million members.
