Plymouth Argyle signs forward Will Evans from Mansfield Town
Plymouth Argyle has completed its seventh summer signing with the acquisition of forward Will Evans from Mansfield Town. The 29-year-old Welshman has signed a two-year contract, which includes an option for the club to extend the deal by an additional year.
Evans joins the club with significant League One experience, having recorded 50 goals over the last three seasons. His previous career includes stints at Shrewsbury Town, Cardiff Metropolitan University, Bala Town, and Newport County. Most recently, at Mansfield, he scored 25 goals in 98 appearances.
Argyle head coach Tom Cleverley noted that Evans is a quick and aggressive runner capable of playing multiple positions, including as a number nine. Director of Football Derek Adams also highlighted that Evans' experience in the third tier will be a valuable asset to the squad.
