Plymouth offers free weekend bus travel for all ages in September

Plymouth City Council has announced a scheme providing free weekend bus travel for all ages throughout September. The initiative aims to encourage residents to use public transport instead of cars and explore the city and surrounding areas.

Supported by the Plymouth Enhanced Bus Partnership and government bus improvement funding, the offer applies to all journeys starting within the Plymouth city boundary on Saturdays and Sundays. Participating operators include Plymouth Citybus, Stagecoach South West, and Tally Ho. Specific routes included are Stagecoach Service 3 to Dartmouth via Kingsbridge, Service 80 to Totnes, and Tally Ho services to Noss Mayo or Heybrook Bay.

The program coincides with Catch the Bus Month. Certain services, such as Plymouth Citybus Argyle football specials and Stagecoach’s Falcon coach service, are excluded from the offer.
