Plzeň completes new pedestrian and cycling path in Doubravka

The city of Plzeň has completed the construction of a 440-meter pedestrian and cycling path along Jateční Street in the Doubravka district. The project, which took nearly ten months to complete, cost 15.8 million CZK including VAT.

The new infrastructure includes a retaining wall, new fencing, and public lighting. The path features an asphalt concrete surface and is separated from parallel traffic by a green belt containing fifteen ash trees, creating a tree-lined alley.

To improve safety, a new combined pedestrian and cyclist crossing has been installed at the intersection of Jateční and Chrástecká streets, equipped with light signaling. Local officials noted that the project addresses increased traffic in the area and provides a safer route for cyclists traveling near the Prazdroje area.
