Plzeň municipal elections: 13 parties submit candidates

Thirteen political parties have submitted candidate lists for the upcoming municipal elections in Plzeň, Czech Republic. Authorities have closed the submission period and are currently verifying the candidates' eligibility for official registration.

Key figures from the current governing coalition—comprising ANO, Piráti, and STAN—are expected to lead their respective lists. This includes Mayor Roman Zarzycký (ANO), Deputy Mayor Pavel Bosák (Piráti), and Deputy Mayor Aleš Tolar (STAN).

New developments in the electoral field include the formation of 'Chceme Plzeň,' a group led by former Deputy Mayor Michal Vozobule (TOP 09) consisting of TOP 09 members, Greens, and independents. Additionally, the 'Motoristé sobě' party will participate, led by former Doubravka district mayor Hynek Brom.
