Plzeň police arrest burglars and investigate violent assault

Police in Plzeň have arrested two men following a series of burglaries targeting houses, garages, and construction containers. The thefts resulted in damages exceeding 700,000 CZK. Stolen items included professional construction equipment, jewelry—such as a century-old gold chain and heirloom rings—fishing gear, a moped, and various household electronics.

In a separate violent incident in Plzeň, an unidentified man brutally attacked two men at the intersection of Kollárova and Tovární streets shortly after midnight. One of the victims, a man born in 1986, was rendered unconscious and required emergency transport to the University Hospital in Plzeň. Police officers performed CPR on the victim before paramedics arrived. Criminal investigators are currently handling both the burglary arrests and the assault investigation.
