Plzeň police conduct overnight security operation

Police in Plzeň conducted an extensive security operation overnight to maintain public order and safety. The operation focused on the city center, bus and train stations, restaurants, clubs, and entertainment venues.

During the action, several dozen officers from various departments, including traffic, foreign affairs, and specialized units, checked 688 individuals, 462 of whom were foreign nationals. Authorities also inspected 52 motor vehicles.

The operation resulted in several penalties, including 15 traffic offenses and eight violations related to foreign residency laws. Additionally, one driver was caught operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol content exceeding 1.8 per mille.
