Plzeň seeks Christmas tree donation for Republiky Square
The city of Plzeň has launched a call for donations to find a Christmas tree to decorate Republiky Square. Mayor Roman Zarzycký noted that the tree will stand in a newly transformed area of the square, aiming to create a memorable holiday atmosphere.
According to Deputy Mayor Aleš Tolar, the ideal candidate should be between 13 and 15 meters tall with a regular conical crown, a straight trunk, and no dead branches. Technical requirements also include ensuring the tree is accessible by crane and transport vehicles. Officials will also inspect trees for rot or damage and ensure they can support holiday lighting and decorations.
