PM Modi holds high‑level meeting with central secretaries on governance reforms

On 30 June 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened a high‑level meeting at the "Seva Teerth" venue with the secretaries of all central ministries and departments, as well as his principal secretaries P. K. Mishra and Shaktikant Das. The gathering focused on advancing the government's reform agenda, including easing the ease of doing business, expanding digital governance, simplifying regulations and improving last‑mile delivery of services.

The session is part of a broader push to align the bureaucracy with the government's priorities for the second half of fiscal‑year 2026, building on initiatives such as the "52 weeks, 52 reforms" programme that targets rapid implementation across ministries, including railways. Officials are expected to review progress, identify challenges and accelerate steps aimed at reducing regulatory burdens, promoting a self‑reliant India and enhancing public‑service delivery.
