Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi attends G7 summit in France and joins VivaTech 2026

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Evian‑les‑Bains, France, on June 16, 2026 to represent India as a Partner Country at the G7 summit 2026. He took part in a working session on global partnership and discussed issues such as the global economy, energy security, climate change and the role of developing nations. During the summit he held bilateral meetings with leaders of Canada, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, the United States and Ukraine, among others, covering trade, investment, defence and technology cooperation.

Following the G7 meetings, Modi travelled to Paris where he was welcomed by members of the Indian diaspora and met French President Emmanuel Macron. The two leaders then attended VivaTech 2026, where India is unveiling its largest pavilion to showcase Indo‑European technological collaboration and innovation.
