PM Modi to inaugurate RBI Data Centre in Odisha
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Odisha on October 25 to inaugurate the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) new Greenfield Data Centre and the Enterprise Computing & Cyber Security Training Institute. Located at Info Valley-II in Jatni, near Bhubaneswar, the 18.55-acre facility is designed to serve as a robust secondary backup to the RBI’s primary data centre in Navi Mumbai.
The facility aims to ensure business continuity for critical national financial services, including currency management, secure data payments, and technological research. The Jatni site was selected due to its low seismic and geopolitical risk profile. Additionally, the integrated training institute will focus on developing technical experts to address evolving cyber threats and enhance sovereign data security.
