PM Narendra Modi promises aid for floods in Arunachal and Nagaland

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with a group of five Members of Parliament from Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland at Parliament House and pledged full central assistance to address the severe flood situation in the two northeastern states. He said the government would continue working with the state administrations, provide timely relief, restoration and support for affected people, and directed relevant ministries to act promptly.

Heavy rains and landslides have caused extensive flooding, resulting in dozens of deaths, damage to properties, infrastructure and crops, and have affected more than 300,000 people across the region, including neighboring districts of Assam. The Indian Air Force has been involved in large‑scale rescue and relief operations in coordination with state authorities.
