Pınar Deniz and Selahattin Paşalı to star in period drama

Actors Pınar Deniz and Selahattin Paşalı will star in the upcoming period drama “Şapkacı Kadınlar,” produced by O3 Medya for the NOW television network. The series is set in İzmir during the early years of the Turkish Republic.

The story follows Ayşe, a village woman whose life undergoes a significant transformation following the Hat Revolution. As she navigates social and cultural shifts, she eventually becomes a recognized style icon in the millinery industry. Selahattin Paşalı will portray the character Rıza.

Directed by Ömür Atay with a script by Necati Şahin, the production is scheduled to begin filming in November. The project, which was previously delayed due to high costs, is now moving forward with Saner Ayar as producer and Suzan Sümeli as executive producer.
