PNJ daughters sell 25 million shares to fund loan to company

Two daughters of PNJ Chairwoman Cao Thi Ngoc Dung have successfully sold a combined 25 million shares of PNJ.

Tran Phuong Ngoc Ha sold her entire registered stake of 18 million shares between September 11 and September 18, 2026. This transaction reduced her ownership from 3.59% to 0.08%, with the sale valued at approximately 661.5 billion VND based on the closing price of 36,750 VND per share. Previously, her sister, Tran Phuong Ngoc Thao, completed the sale of 7 million shares, leaving her with a 2.15% stake in the company.

The proceeds from these sales are intended to provide capital for Cao Thi Ngoc Dung to lend to PNJ. The company's Board of Directors has approved a plan to borrow from the Chairwoman with a total limit not exceeding 5% of the company's total assets. The loan will be disbursed in multiple installments to supplement PNJ's working capital for business operations. The loan will be unsecured, with a maximum term of 12 months, and interest rates will be determined based on market rates for equivalent corporate bonds.
