PNJ Vice Chairwoman completes sale of 7 million shares

Tran Phuong Ngoc Thao, Vice Chairwoman of PNJ, has completed the sale of 7 million PNJ shares via a negotiated transaction on September 11. Following this sale, she retains over 11 million shares, representing 2.15% of the company's charter capital.

The transaction is intended to generate capital for Cao Thi Ngoc Dung, the PNJ Chairwoman, to provide a loan to the company for working capital and business operations. This follows a previous registration by Ms. Thao and her sister, Tran Phuong Ngoc Ha, to sell a total of 25 million shares. Ms. Ha's planned sale of 18 million shares is expected to reduce her ownership from 3.59% to 0.08%.

PNJ plans to borrow from its Chairwoman with a maximum limit of 5% of its total assets, approximately 1,080 billion VND based on June 2026 asset scales. The unsecured loan will have a maximum term of 12 months. This movement occurs alongside a downward revision of PNJ's consolidated after-tax profit for the first six months of the year, which fell from over 1,184 billion VND to approximately 728.5 billion VND, a 38% decrease, due to provisions and business cost estimates.
