PNM establishes first ultra-micro finance unit in Banda Neira

Violend Trintje Ory, a 23-year-old Account Officer, is spearheading the establishment of the first PNM unit in Banda Neira, Central Maluku. Assigned from Ambon, she manages the rollout of the PNM Mekaar program to reach ultra-micro customers in the archipelago.

To reach clients, Ory and her colleagues navigate significant geographical challenges, including crossing seas and traveling on foot when motorcycles cannot be used. Beyond the physical distance, the role involves building community trust through direct door-to-door socialization to introduce the previously unknown program to local residents.
