PNM Mekaar supports traditional Javanese blangkon business

Tri Damayanti and her husband have utilized microfinance to sustain their traditional Javanese blangkon (headwear) business. Since becoming a customer of PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (Persero) in 2023, the couple has received financing to cover raw material costs.

Beyond capital, the program provided empowerment through training and mentorship. This assistance helped the business transition to digital marketing, using social media to expand their market reach and preserve the economic value of their traditional craft. PNM President Director Kindaris stated that while financing serves as an entry point, empowerment is essential for helping underprivileged communities develop their potential and achieve continuous growth.
