Pěnčín family farm begins harvest season

The family-run fruit farm in Pěnčín, near Turnov and Liberec, has officially commenced its harvest and sales season. Owner Miloš Thoř announced that customers can now purchase fresh produce directly from the farm, including apples, potatoes, onions, and honey.

Operating since 1992, the farm specializes in various apple varieties such as Gala, Jonagold, and the locally significant Bohemia and Gold Bohemia varieties. The farm utilizes an integrated production system, which limits the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in favor of biological protection methods.

Following a difficult previous season impacted by spring frosts, the 2025 season is described as average but significantly improved. Customers are able to sample the apples on-site before purchasing.
