Regional infrastructure projects: New railway station and road works
Various infrastructure and transportation projects are underway across the region. In Grudziądz, PKP S.A. has handed over a site to Budimex S.A. for the construction of a new railway station valued at 76.3 million PLN. This facility will feature a unique integrated civil protection function, including a reinforced underground level designed to serve as a public shelter during emergencies.
Roadwork is causing significant disruptions in several areas. Drivers crossing the border between Cieszyn and Czech Teschen should expect delays due to surface repairs on road I/48 scheduled until September 8. In Polanica-Zdrój, asphalt laying on Kłodzka Street is causing periodic traffic halts. Other notable road projects include the rapid progress of the Ostrołęka southern bypass, the modernization of the DK91 in Silesia, and various local street renovations in Świdnica, Toruń, and Łódź.
Other developments include the rebranding of the ferry Galileusz under the POLSCA Baltic Ferries brand and the construction of a new pedestrian bridge over the Strug River in Rzeszów, which is expected to be completed by autumn 2027.
