Poğaça recipes for quick or traditional breakfast preparation

Various recipes for poğaça, a traditional Turkish pastry, are available for different preparation needs.

A quick, yeastless version can be prepared in five minutes of active time. This method uses melted butter, oil, yogurt, eggs, baking powder, and flour. The dough is shaped into small pieces, filled with options like cheese or olives, and baked at 200 degrees Celsius for approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Adding vinegar to the dough can enhance the texture.

Alternatively, a softer version using instant yeast can be made for breakfast. This recipe involves mixing warm milk, yeast, sugar, oil, egg, and salt before adding flour. After the dough ferments for 45 minutes, it is filled with pitted olives, white cheese, or parsley. These pastries are baked at 180 degrees Celsius for 25 to 30 minutes.
