Pobeda Airlines flight makes emergency landing in Samara
A Pobeda Airlines flight traveling from Vladikavkaz to Moscow was forced to make an emergency landing at Kurumoch Airport in Samara due to airspace restrictions and critical fuel levels. The flight, DP-6992, had to deviate from its original route and fly through Kazakhstan to avoid areas of Russian airspace affected by drone threats.
While Russian media outlets reported that the aircraft faced critically low fuel supplies, Pobeda Airlines stated that the decision to land in Samara was made in strict accordance with flight safety requirements due to airspace limitations. The incident caused significant delays for over 150 passengers, some of whom waited more than 14 hours for further travel. Passengers reported being held on the aircraft for several hours after landing due to a queue of planes waiting to refuel.
