POBSI Sumut inaugurates new management for 2026-2030 term

The new management of the North Sumatra Provincial Billiards Association (Pengprov POBSI Sumut) for the 2026–2030 period was officially inaugurated in Medan on August 8, 2026. HM Hidayat Batubara has been appointed as the Chairperson, supported by Ir H Ucok Afriansyah Rambe MM as Daily Chairperson.

Syafril Nasution, representing PB POBSI Chairperson Hary Tanoesoedibjo, expressed high expectations for the new leadership to elevate the province's billiard achievements. Following a third-place finish in the previous National Championship, the association has set a target to reach first place in the 2026 National Championship.

Furthermore, there are plans to encourage international billiard events in North Sumatra, leveraging the region's existing hotel facilities and international flight access. The new leadership structure also includes a business division, aligned with the vision of transforming sports into a self-sustaining industry rather than relying solely on government funding.
