Pocheon Hantan River Garden Festa surpasses 1 million visitors

The Pocheon Hantan River Garden Festa has surpassed 1 million cumulative visitors, according to local authorities. The festival has also generated approximately 4.6 billion won in cumulative non-tax revenue, contributing significantly to the local economy and regional tourism activation.

Since its debut in the autumn of 2024, the festival has integrated the natural scenery of the Hantan River with garden-themed content, operating seasonal programs in both spring and autumn. Key attractions include the 'Y-shaped suspension bridge' that spans the Hantan River canyon, allowing visitors to view the landscape while walking through themed gardens.

To appeal to a wide demographic, the festival has incorporated family-oriented content, such as character-based experience programs, alongside various performances and participatory events. Local officials stated that the city aims to transition from hosting short-term events to developing the Hantan River area into a long-term, stay-over tourism destination by linking seasonal attractions with local commercial districts.
