Pocheon youth golfers complete first field rounding

Students participating in the ‘Field On Golf Shared School’ in Pocheon recently completed their first real-world field rounding. Ten students from the Songwoo district transitioned from indoor screen practice to a 9-hole round at Cobb Swing GC in Seolun-dong.

The program is a collaborative educational model involving the Pocheon Education Support Office, Pocheon City, and local golf professionals. It originated from a proposal by local golfers to provide free lessons, which was subsequently supported by local government and private golf courses.

KPGA Tour Pro Kim Hyun-woong, who has been providing talent donations by offering free lessons and utilizing his own facilities, guided the students. The initiative aims to utilize Pocheon’s abundant golf infrastructure to provide career exploration and practical learning opportunities for local youth beyond the traditional classroom setting.
