Płock driver denied insurance after collision with unmarked police car
A driver in Płock is facing difficulties obtaining insurance compensation after his vehicle was struck by an unmarked police patrol car. The incident occurred when the driver stopped his Cupra to assist a man lying on the road. While stationary with hazard lights activated, the vehicle was hit by the police car, which also damaged a nearby Skoda Superb.
An expert assessment determined the damage to the Cupra was a total loss, with costs estimated in the tens of thousands of zlotys. However, the insurer has refused to pay the claim because the police have not accepted responsibility for the collision. The driver alleges that officers have provided a different version of events than what occurred. The Płock City Police Command has not yet issued a formal statement regarding the matter.
