Palworld launches version 1.0, releases hotfix and announces multiple spin‑off projects
Pocketpair’s open‑world survival title Palworld reached full release with version 1.0, drawing over 858,000 concurrent players on Steam and surpassing two million copies sold within 24 hours. The launch added dozens of new creatures, expanded regions such as the World Tree, end‑game bosses, and extensive UI and balance improvements.
A day‑one hotfix, version 1.0.1 (update 1 100 619), addressed critical bugs: unintended loss of save data, persistent burning status, a repeatable save‑error on PlayStation, and a 30‑second freeze on Xbox after teleporting. The patch also refined performance and multiplayer stability across platforms.
Developer John “Bucky” Buckley revealed that the Palworld IP will continue to grow beyond the core game. Pocketpair is exploring several spin‑off projects, including a cozy “Palfarm” experience, the visual‑novel “More Than Just Pals,” a mobile version, an official card game and other unannounced titles. The studio says future direction will be shaped largely by community feedback.
