Pocketpair bolsters Palworld with major patch and self‑hosted server assurance
Pocketpair released the 1.0.2 update for its multiplayer game Palworld, a 260 MB patch that addresses a range of issues including server crashes during the Panthalus battle, terrain display bugs, achievement unlock problems, and graphical glitches on Mac. The update also refines multiplayer stability, mission flow, and controls.
In a separate statement on the official Discord, Pocketpair’s Head of Publishing and Communications John Buckley confirmed that Palworld is not a live‑service title and has no planned end‑of‑service shutdown. The game supports player‑run dedicated servers on Windows, Linux and macOS, allowing the community to keep the multiplayer experience alive even if Pocketpair retires its own servers. Steam data shows Palworld maintaining peaks of around 960 000 concurrent players, indicating strong ongoing engagement.
